Three days after putting Aziz Bouderbala in charge of their side for the rest of the season, Moroccan champions Wydad Casablanca have signed a contract with French coach Ladislas Lozano.
It is a second spell at the club for Lozano, previously coach during the 2001/2002 season. No details of his contract terms were given.
Bouderbala was named as caretaker coach after the surprise departure of Portugal's Jose Romao last week but will now return to his role as technical director.
The 55-year-old Lozano made his name by taking amateur Calais to the French Cup final in 2000. He worked at Wydad afterwards, then back in France at Creteil and Reims and had two separate spells in Qatar. He left Al Rayyan in October.
"Our choice was dictated by the fact that Lozano understands Wydad, our local football and African club competition," said Wydad president Taieb Fechtali.
Wydad face their arch rivals Raja Casablanca in the Moroccan league on Sunday.
