A Moroccan sea transport company was studying the feasibility of operating new sea lines to and in West Africa.
Comanav was considering lines with Benin, Cape Verde and Gabon and was already in discussions with Mauritania and Senegal, said director general Taoufiq Ibrahimi.
Ibrahimi said discussions were in progress to set up sea lines to link Tangier, Morocco with Nouakchott and Dakar.
The director general added that the company has done well in Senegal during the past year and that the company would further expand its West Africa links with a plan to reopen the Dakar-Casamance line, which was closed in 2002.
